PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material good in color developing ability, superior in color reproductivity and also in dye storage stability by incorporating a color nondeveloping compound. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material contains the color nondeveloping compound represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of R<1> and R<2> H or alkyl, but not simultaneously H; R<3> is halogen or an electron attractive group except -COR<4> and -SOR<5>; R<4> is alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic, alkoxy, aryloxy, heterocyclic oxy, or amino; and R<5> is alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic. This compound having an anionizing group has a function improving a phenomenon of hindering diffusion of a developing solution and quinonediimine, etc., into an oil occurring in the case of an oil-protected type. At least one silver halide emulsion layer is formed on a support in such a photographic sensitive material, and as a coupler, yellow, magenta, and cyan couplers can be used, and the high-boiling oil agent to be used is an organic solvent not reacting with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and having a boiling point of >=150 deg.C, such as phenol derivatives and alkyl phthalates. |
