TIMER CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To set or change the video recording time of a program by a timer from a visiting place at a remote location by demodulating the digital code data from a talking signal of an audio region sent via a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:An incoming side reply device is incorporated in a telephone line interface 21 and connects automatically a line L to a MODEM 22 when a call signal from a line exchange exists. The MODEM 22 demodulates a digital code data from the tone signal of the audio region received via the telephone line L. A microcomputer 23 forms a timer control signal based on the digital data from the MODEM 22. The timer control signal is given to an infrared ray optical transmitter 27 via a remote control interface 25, the signal is sent in radio from the transmitter 27 to an infrared ray remote controller sensor section of a controlled device 4 to set the operation of a built-in timer of the controlled device 4.
