摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for regenerating a glass panel of a color cathode ray tube by cleaning a defective glass panel coated with a fluorescent film and an aluminum thin film without using an acid. SOLUTION: The method for regenerating the glass panel of the color cathode ray tube consists of a blast treatment process 30A for applying blast treatment to the inner surface of the defective glass panel 21 to remove the phosphor film 25 and the aluminum membrane 26, a washing process 40A for washing the inner surface of the glass panel after blast treatment to remove a residual blast material, a caustic soda treatment process 50A for treating the inner surface of the skirt part 21a of the glass panel 21 with caustic soda to dissolve and remove the aluminum membrane 26 on the skirt part 21a, a washing process 60A for washing the inner surface of the glass panel 21 after caustic soda treatment with water to remove residual caustic soda and a drying process 70A for drying the glass panel 21 after washing.</p>
