PURPOSE:To enable good photographic characteristics to be obtained, even if either of a lithographic developing solution and a nonlithographic developing solution is used, by using a silver halide photographic sensitive material containing a specified compound and a dihydroxybenzene type compound. CONSTITUTION:It is most preferred to incorporate, in a silver halide emulsion layer containing silver halide grains composed of at least 50mol% silver chloride and having an average grain diameter of 0.05-0.5mum and a monodispersion degree of <=35, the dihydroxy type compound and the compound represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1 is 1-16C alkyl or such alkenyl; R2 is H halogen, cyano, hydroxy, alkoxy, or amino; each of R3-R6 is H, Cl, or 1-4C alkyl; Z is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic ring; (n1), (n2) are each 0, 1, 2, or 3; and (m) is an integer of 3-100. |
