PURPOSE:To reduce the ground clearance of the floor surface of a vehicle body, by securing an axle housing to the upper surface of a leaf spring below the rotary axis of a drive shaft, and by attaching bumper rubbers at both front and rear sides of the drive shaft, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An axle housing 8 has a projection 6a which is positioned below the rotary axis of a drive shaft 8 and which is set on the intermediate section of a relief spring 4. Further, a pair of U-bolts 9 are positioned on both sides of a leaf spring 4 being suspended from the projection 6, and are made to pierce through a spring seat 10 laid on the lower surface of the leaf spring 4 and secured by fastening nuts 11. With this arrangement the center section of the leaf spring 4 is suspended from the lower surface of the axle housing 6 to form an underslung type arrangement. Further brackets 12, 13 are secured to the lower surface of a vehicle body 1 at both front and rear ends of the rotary axis of the drive shaft 8, and fixed at their lower ends with bumper rubbers 14, 15, respectively. |
