<p>The method consists in supplying a strip of material, applying adhesive to both sides of the strip in transversely separate bands, cutting the strip transversely via the centre of the bands constituting the belt loops with adhesive on both ends, and joining the belt loops to the garments. The apparatus comprises: a supply of material, a station for applying the adhesive on both sides, means for advancing the material, a cutting station, transfer means, a station for sewing the belt loops to the garments, and computer-control means.</p> |
