PURPOSE:To widen a space at the time of boarding and alighting, by making a locking device so as to be released when a seat back is tilted forward at a position capable of taking a seat frontward. CONSTITUTION:In a swivel seat S, if a seat back 15 is tilted forward when riders at a rear seat get on or off a car, a seat 14 is made rotatable in the case where a rotary supporting body 21 is locked at a position capable of taking the seat 14. That is to say, at a forward tilting position B of the seat back 15, an operating rod 31 is set to an engagement releasing position Y via a lever 40 and a wire 43 so that a lockup of a locking device L is released. At this time, if the seat 14 is rotated by hand, the seat 14 is rotated so that each angle of the seat 14 and the seat back 15 is drawn to the inside of a car, thus a space for boarding and alighting becomes widened.
