PURPOSE:To prevent oil from leaking out of a reservoir chamber at the same time making it possible to absorb volumetric change in the reservoir chamber by arranging a bellows of elastic material between piston rod and a cylinder of a hydraulic adjuster device. CONSTITUTION:Within a cylinder 1 of a hydraulic adjuster device, a piston 2 is arranged for coming into contact with one end of a piston rod 5. A pressure chamber 3 partitioned by the piston 2 and a reservoir chamber 9 are communicated by way of a passage 2b having a check valve formed within the piston 2. An elastic bellows 10 is arranged between the piston rod 5 and the inside wall of the cylinder 1 to prevent oil from leaking out of the reservoir chamber 9 at the same time making it possible to absorb volumetric change in the reservoir chamber 9.
