PURPOSE:To increase the elongation at break of the obtained elastomer composition after secondary vulcanization, by mixing a copolymer of ethylene with a (meth)acrylate ester and an unsaturated glycidyl ester with an imidazole and dicyandiamine or an acid anhydride. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 50-80mol% ethylene (a) with 50-15mol% (meth)acrylate ester (b) and 0.1-5mol%, based on the total of components (a) and (b), unsaturated glycidyl ester is mixed with 0.02-3pts.wt. imidazole (d) and 5pts.wt. or below dicyandiamide or acid anhydride (e). This elastomer composition is useful for automobile parts, industrial articles, construction materials, etc., e.g., hoses, tubes and packings. |
