PURPOSE:To improve the opening rate of a display panel by using number of light guide tubes having picture elements which are expanded individually in a taper shape and extremely close to one another. CONSTITUTION:A light guide tube 21 is an optical member which guides light from a light source 13 onto a display screen through the intersection of a column electrode 2 and a row electrode 4 and molded out of transparent synthetic resin, and the light is guided to an incidence surface 22 whose sectional area nearly corresponds to the area of picture elements and numbers of light guide tubes 21 which are expanded in the taper shape and reaches the display screen 23 to form an image. The light guide tubes 21 have R, G, and B arranged irregularly corresponding to respective picture elements to form a light guide panel 20. Further, the wide display screen 25 is formed by arranging adjacent light guide panels 20 without any gap and serves as the whole display screen, so a continuous image is formed on the surface. The display surface 23 have fine convex lenses 24 formed. |
