发明名称 LIQUID JET RECORDING HEAD AND APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To make excellent in electrochemical reaction resistance, oxidation resistance, mechanical impact resistance and heat resistance and to further enhance heat response, by forming a heat-generating resistor layer from an amorphous material having carbon atoms as a matrix and containing hydrogen atoms and a substance dominating electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of sets each consisting of a heat-generating resistor layer 14 and a pair of electrodes 16, 17 connected to said layer 14 are together provided on a support 12 and effective heat-generating parts 18, 18', 18'' are arranged to said support at predetermined intervals. The heat generating resistor layer 14 comprises an amorphous material based on carbon atoms and containing hydrogen atoms and a substance dominating electric conductivity. As the substance dominating electric conductivity, P-type impurities imparting a P-type conductive characteristic and N-type impurities imparting a N-type conductive characteristic can be utilized. Because the heat-generating resistor layer has high durability to mechanical impact and excellent chemical stability, no protective layer is especially required. Therefore, the liquid jet recording head using the heat-generating resistor layer is improved in heat stability because the energy generated with the input of a signal is imparted to a liquid in an extremely efficient manner.
