<p>PURPOSE:The title bottle excellent in transparency, gas barrier property and pressure deformation resistance, obtained by biaxially orientating the thin-walled body part made of a specified thermoplastic polyester resin so that its average degree of surface orientation and average wall thickness may be suitably controlled. CONSTITUTION:The titled bottle obtained by biaxially orientating the thin-walled body part made of a thermoplastic polyester resin consisting mainly of ethylene terephthalate repeating units (a) and containing, as comonomers, at least one dicarboxylic acid (b) other than terephthalic acid, such as (hexahydro)isophthalic, adipic or omega-hydroxycaproic acid and/or at least one diol (c) other than ethylene glycol, such as tetramethylene glycol, diethylene glycol or cyclohexanedimethanol and satisfy ing the relationship of the formula (wherein W is a content of comonomers, wt.%, based on the polymer weight, IV is an intrinsic viscosity and 0.5 <=W<=3) so that its average degree of surface orientation may be 0.125 or above and its average wall thickness may be 0.35mm or above and showing a rate of increase in capacity <=3% as measured by sealing water corresponding to 95-97vol% of the capacity of the bottle and CO2 of a volume 4.0 times, in a normal state, that of the water in the bottle and storing it at 40 deg.C for 10 days.</p> |
