PURPOSE:To improve safety and to reduce the cost of production by incorporating respectively specific weight % of moisture and dilution stabilizer into a titled compsn. and adjusting the weight ratio of the dilution stabilizer and water to a prescribed value to form a hydrous ketone peroxide compsn. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of an aliphat. ketone of 3-8C and alicyclic ketone of 6-10C is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide water in the presence of a catalyst to form the ketone peroxide. The dilution stabilizer is then mixed therewith without separating the water during or after the production to form the hydrous ketone peroxide compsn. The component ratio (weight %) is controlled to 5-20% water, 15-40% dilution stabilizer and the weight ratio of the dilution stabilizer and the water is controlled to 1-8. Since the compsn. is hydrous, the stability during use is improved and since there is no need for a laborious process for production, the cost of production is reduced.
