PURPOSE:To attain the working of a memory device with no interruption by storing data in plural independent storage areas and reading these data out of other storage areas without storing again the data when a prescribed storage area is destructed. CONSTITUTION:A read/write part 3 is controlled by a control program 1 and a prescribed address is so indicated that the prescribed data D are stored in the independent storage areas 5-1-5-n of a storage part 4. While the data are read out of either one of areas 5-1-5-n in a read mode. A pointer 2 starts another normal storage area when the abnormality occurs and gives an indication to copy and restore the abnormal area by the contents of a normal storage area. Thus it is possible to avoid the working interruption of the memory device owing to the destruction of a storage area.
