PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To obtain a vibrator with excellent operation efficiency by providing a slit in the lengthwise direction of a lead wire so as to form a couple of split holding part, utilizing the elastic action of the split holding part so as to support a crystal chip thereby improving shock resistance. CONSTITUTION:E-shaped slot of a couple of support fixtures 14 whose shape is nearly E-shaped is fitted to a notch 13 of a case 10. The plate face corresponding to the E-shaped center leg is projected to the center in the case while being bent toward the center and a slit 15 is formed in the lengthwise direction and both sides of the slit 15 are formed as the split holding parts 16a, 16b. Both peripherals in which a connection electrode 19 is prolonged from an exciting electrode 18 of the crystal chip 17 are inserted into the slit 15 and clipped by the split supports 16a, 16b.
