PURPOSE:To enhance the rectifying efficiency by driving the control winding of a saturable reactor by a signal synchronized with an AC input, thereby eliminating a semiconductor rectifier. CONSTITUTION:A DC/AC converter 1 converts a DC power input from an input terminal 101 into an AC power. The AC power is voltage-converted by a transformer 2. The frequency of the AC power is synchronized with an oscillator 4, and a current is flowed from the oscillator 4 through the diode 12 to the control winding 32 of a saturable reactor (SR) 3 in the half period that the upper side of the secondary winding 22 of the transformer 2 becomes a high potential. Accordingly, the SR3 is excited in the same polarity by currents flowing to the winding 32 and a main winding 31, set to a saturated range, and the winding 31 is conducted to output a power from an output terminal 102. A current is not flowed to the winding 32 of the SR3 in the next half period, the SR3 becomes the reset state in the nonsaturated range, thereby interrupting the winding 31. |
