The support rail (1) of this arrangement has a symmetrical cross-section and consists of an upper flange (1.1), a lower flange (1.6) and a web (1.5) interconnecting the two flanges. Arranged betweeen the web (1.5) and the inner support surfaces (1.3, 1.4) of the flanges (1.1, 1.6), which adjoin the web perpendicularly, are grooves (1.2) which lie next to the web and project into the flanges. It is thus possible to make sharp-edged fastening plates (2) or butt straps rest on the one hand on the web (1.5) and on the other hand on one or on two opposite support surfaces (1.3, 1.4) without edge pressing. In two mutually opposite grooves (1.2), it is moreover possible, for the holding of electric control devices, to pivot in and fasten holding plates with end-side bevels without fastening holes having to be provided in the support rail (1). <IMAGE>
