<p>Prepns. contng. (1) nicotinic acid N-oxide, (2) rutine and (3) vitamin E. As a feebly toxic product for reducing the level of blood lipids and for improving the fibrinolytic activity of blood. The rutine and vitamin E potentiate the therapeutic effects due to nicotinic acid N-oxide, whilst reducing its toxicity. LD50 (mice, i.p.) = 6878 mg/kg. (orally, the toxicity is very low); no chronic toxicity was seen in rats given 304 mg/kg. for 15 days.</p> |
