PURPOSE:To obtain the laminated lumber, high in orientation property, by a method wherein fibrous elements, obtained by collapsing a lumber, are orientated so as to arrange fibers in a given direction and are pressurized to form them into a desired configuration under adding adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:When raw material is compressed at a stroke, the fibers are collapsed, therefore, the raw material should by compressed gradually. It is preferable to employ a roller press to produce the fibrous elements continuously, however, the raw material, having short length, is better to be processed by well-known press device in batch system. Next, the compressed lumber is passed through a pair of rollers 7, 7 formed with corrugations on the surface thereof. When the lumber is passed through such rollers, a multitude of fibers is spread toward widthwise direction and the fibrous elements 10 are produced. Subsequently, the fibrous elements 10 are pressurized under a condition that they are mixed with the adhesive agent to form them whereby the orientated laminated lumber may be completed. |
