The self propelled towing arm/tug includes a trolley 1 with rear drive wheels 7 and two front steering wheels 5, a central seat 19 with a foldable back 20, a towing arm proper 2 with removable control unit 12 and an auxiliary towing arm 3 for driving as a tractor. The dimensions of the trolley and of the two parts 8, 9 of the towbar are modular in order to make the device air-transportable. <IMAGE>
