PURPOSE:To perform uniform bevelling in short time by making a recessed polishing section having the bottom face of curvature R in the innercircumferential wall of a rotary cylinder then rotating said cylinder while pressing the belt pass face or the belt stop face of the lateral member against said polishing section. CONSTITUTION:A lateral member 5 is held on a holder 12 while the rotary cylinders 14, 14 are separated then the lateral member 5 is lowered between said cylinders 14, 14 to approach them 14, 14 each other. Then the lateral member 5 is lifted to contact the belt pass face 7 against the bottom face 15. Under this condition, the rotary cylinders 14, 14 are rotated to apply plunge grinding thus to grind the belt pass face 7 with correspondence to the profile of the bottom face 15. Similarly, the lateral member 5 is held on the holder 22 to contact the belt stop face 6 against he bottom face 25 of radius R then the rotary cylinders 24, 24 are rotated under this condition to apply plunge grinding thus to grind the belt stop face 6 with correspondence to the profile of the bottom face 25. |
