PURPOSE:To discriminate easily each optical disk medium by providing a display part to a container for optical disk media for discrimination of the characteristics, the using conditions, etc. of each disk medium. CONSTITUTION:A display part 20 is provided on the surface of the 1st case 14 for display of the characteristics, the using conditions, etc. of the recording layer of an optical disk medium 10. In this case, the code numbers are used at the part 20 to show said characteristics, the using conditions, etc. In this example, the code '05' shows that the reflection factor of the recording layer of the medium 10 is equal to about 50% in an unrecording mode together with the code '01' showing about 10% reflection factor of said recording layer in a recording mode respectively. Furthermore, codes '23' and '504' show the threshold value of the laser light in an information recording mode and a physical constant like a boiling point or a melting point, etc. respectively. In such a way, the characteristics and the using conditions, etc. of the medium 10 can be easily discriminated. |
