PURPOSE:To attain the improvement in registration accuracy by bonding and fixing a color separation prism and a fixed plate when the trapezoidal fixed plate arranged at both sides of color separation prism has been connected and abutted and fixed gluewise to two pieces of solid image sensors after allowing such fixed plate to move in an optical axis direction linearly. CONSTITUTION:A CCD image sensor 2g is directly bonded and fixed to the injection surface of a color separation prism 1 and the trapezoidal fixed plate 10 arranged at both sides of the color separation prism 1 is linearly moved in the optical axis direction and is abutted two pieces of CCD image sensors 2r, 2b under registration state of CCD image sensors 2r, 2g, 2b, adjustment of which have been carried out toward each injection surface of color separation prism 1 and is fixed gluewise to the CCD image sensor by injecting adhesives 15 at gap. Then the plate 10 is bonded and fixed to the color separation prism 1 by injecting the adhesives 15 at the gap between the color separation prism 1 and the fixed plate 10. This procedure assures to perform efficient bonding and fixation of each solid image sensor with high registration accuracy and also obtain a colored image pickup of better definition.
