PURPOSE:To enable automatic setting of the phase of a lock signal at the optimum value, by integrating the lock signal at an lockout state or sweeping the magnetic field or the frequency. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a low frequency amplifier 11 is sampled with an A/D converter 18 and fed to a central controller 19, which integrates the signal over one cycle of sweeping the magnetic field. According to the results, the sweeping of the magnetic field or the frequency is done at the lockout state and in this manner, integration is executed for each sweep. The integration is repeated varying the phase of the signal gradually with a phase shifter 8 and the phase value at which the integrated value is the maximum is defined and fixed. With such an arrangement, the output of an amplifier 11 gives an absorption waveform allowing the automatic adjustment of the phase. Moreover, the output signal of a low frequency amplifier 14 is shifted by 90 deg. in the phase from the output signal of the amplifier 11 and gives a dispersion waveform with the integrated value of zero. Thus, the phase can be automatically set at the optimum value. |
