PURPOSE:To obtain a resin compsn. which gives sanitary moldings having excellent resistance to water, chemicals and weather and decorativeness, by incorporating an elastomer or its graft copolymer in a methacrylate resin. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. of a methacrylate resin contg. an elastomer having a glass transition temp. of 0 deg.C or below or a graft copolymer of said elastomer, said compsn. containing 0.1-49wt% said elastomer. Examples of the elastomers are ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, polybutadiene, butadiene/ styrene copolymer, butadiene/acrylene ester copolymer and acrylate ester/styrene copolymer. When the elastomer content of the compsn. is less than 0.1wt%, cracking or whitening is liable to occur, while when the content exceeds 49wt%, the hardness of moldings is lowered and hence the surface is liable to be marred. |
