PURPOSE:To obtain correctly the binary coded two-dimensional picture pattern by obtaining the new concentration threshold from the nearby concentration which is through to be the continuity of the edge part of the estimate line of the raster scan and stipulating the edge coordinates of the estimate line by the concentration threshold, in the binary method which obtains the binary picture from the edge coordinates by the picture differential value. CONSTITUTION:Concerning the picture data in one line memory 20, a differential value (concentration difference) is calculated 102 based upon the calculation formula (Xn-Xn-1) and stored to one line memory 21. The obtained differential value is binarized 104 by the prescribed threshold, the binarized data are stored to one line memory 23 and the edge part is detected from the data of one line memory 23. In the detection of the edge part, for the edge to change from white to black when the detection is made binary, for example, by the threshold '+ or -10', X coordinate values, in which the differential value of '10' or above appears for the first time, are edge coordinates (white to black) and after black is continuous, X coordinate values, in which the differential value of '-10' or below appear finally, are edge coordinate (black to white). After the edge is detected, the part surrounded by two edges of white to black and black to white is '1' and one line memory 23 is renewed. |
