PURPOSE:To enable the reading of a water voltage of particles one at a time, by continuing an A/D conversion for a fixed time based on the rise of a waveform detected to process the water voltage value to be the water value. CONSTITUTION:As grain particles are fed between electrodes 1 and 1 one at a time, they are pinched and crushed at each time and the resistance due to the water of the grain particles in the current flowing through the electrodes 1 and 1 during the crushing is detected analog with a water voltage conversion circuit 5 as water voltage curve. The rise of the water voltage is detected with a rise detection circuit 10 to convert the water voltage into digital with an A/D conversion circuit 9 over a fixed time through a timer. The water voltage is displayed directly on a display circuit 13 as the water value of the grain particles by a processing such as the selection of the maximum thereof and will be utilized as control value of a control motor 14.
