A method for manufacturing a composite vehicle wheel is proposed which on the one hand ensures cost-effective manufacture and on the other hand permits a large degree of freedom in respective of the possibility of designing the vehicle wheel in a decorative fashion. A prefabricated rim is pressed onto a wheel body and, in a subsequent reshaping operation, is anchored in position to the wheel body and protected against crevice corrosion by a sealing material or adhesive material, or additionally bonded together in a frictionally engaging manner. In addition, beading of the wheel disc flange is provided in the direction of the rim so that the rim is held in a positively engaging fashion. <IMAGE>
