PURPOSE:To improve productivity of a master cylinder by inserting a separately formed piping connector into the stepped hole of a projected part formed on a master cylinder body and fixing the member by means of a retainer member. CONSTITUTION:A projected part 15 is formed on a cylinder body 11, and a large diameter hole 16 and a small diameter hole 18 which is connected to a hydraulic pressure chamber A are formed in this projected part 15. A piping connector 24 is fitted into these large and small diameter holes 16, 18, and a rotation-stopping engaging part 25a formed on its flange 25 is engaged with a rotation-stopping notched recessed part 23 formed on the projected part 15, to position the piping connector 24. And, a stopping member 31 is engaged with both of a groove 20A formed on the projected part 15 and a groove 31 formed on the piping connector 24 to fix the piping connector 24. This stopping member 32 is held from coming off by a retainer member 33.
