PURPOSE:To obtain the titled head with improved adhesive strength and having excellent wear resistance by sticking the leading end part of the head, obtained by forming titanium oxide by deterioration on at least a part of the surface layer of a ceramic substrate contg. titanium carbide, to a ferrite substrate with glass. CONSTITUTION:A thin layer 5 of titanium dioxide is formed on the surface of a ceramic substrate 4 contg. alumina and titanium carbide by heat-treating the substrate 4 at 900 deg.C for 30min in air or in an oxidizing atmosphere and deteriorating the ceramics to form the leading end part 1 of a head. Glass 6 is formed on the surface of the titanium dioxide layer 5 by coating or sputtering. Meanwhile, glass 7 is formed on a ferrite substrate 2 by coating or sputtering. The surfaces of glass 6 and 7 to be stuck is smoothly finished and ground and both surfaces are abutted on each other and stuck at 750 deg.C which is the m.p. of the glass.
