PURPOSE:To enhance reproducibility, sensitivity and stability, in detecting the inductance value of a sensor constituted of an amorphous alloy having magnetostriction, by repeatedly using an AC signal having constant voltage continuously changing from low frequency to high frequency. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic circuit is constituted of an amorphous alloy 1 having magnetostriction and soft magnetic ferrite 2 and excited by a coil 3. The whole is received in a case 4 and pressure is applied to the alloy 1 from an introducing part 5 through piercing holes 6. When strain is generated in the alloy 1 with the application of pressure, the magnetism of the alloy 1 is changed by magnetostriction effect and said change is detected by an inductance measuring circuit 7. An AC signal having constant voltage continuously changing from low frequency to high frequency is repeatedly used in measurement. By this method, the change-over of measured high frequency to a demagnetizing signal becomes perfectly unnecessary and the reproducibility and stability of output are enhanced and the change in output with the elapse of time is reduced and large output can be obtained. |
