PURPOSE:To obtain images without any fog by forming such a toner reservoir part that toner contacts a photosensitive body at the upstream side of an area irradiated with information light in the moving direction of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The developing roller which consists of a nonmagnetic rotary sleeve 4 and an internal fixed magnet 3 forms the toner reservoir at the upstream side by the arrow-directional rotation of the sleeve 4, and the toner reservoir forms the contacting width of a toner brush together with the photosensitive body 1. An auxiliary roll 17 which conveys the toner so that it contacts the photosensitive body 1 is arranged at the upstream side in the moving direction of the photosensitive body 1, and the toner brush contacting width which is long enough to prevent an image from fogging is secured by the auxiliary roll 17. The auxiliary roll 17 consists of a nonmagnetic sleeve 18 and a magnet roll 19 which rotate relatively and is held at the same potential with the developing roll. |
