Odour-extracting toilet seat consisting of a seat and a lid which are articulatedly connected by a hinge, the seat being designed as a downwardly open arched annular body. According to the invention, the seat is designed as a suction head, the suction openings of which are formed at the lower edge of the inner circumferential surface of the seat, directed towards the lower horizontal plane of the seat, whereas the outer rim of the seat is connected to a suction fan, and the seat is closed with a covering plate from below and the hollow space thus formed is filled loosely with activated charcoal or with another odour-adsorbing substance.
