PURPOSE:To enable a stabilized, high-quality tone recording by stripping a heat transfer layer with a heat transfer recording sheet from a recording medium within a fixed time after a transfer recording is performed with a hermal head. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 200 and a transfer sheet 100 which has a heat transfer layer 120 are clamped between a heat generating body 520 and a platen 610, and a paper feeding is performed as indicated by arrows 612 and 613 by rotation of the platen 610 as indicated by an arrow 611. Heat generation of heat generating body 520 is controlled by an electric signal given to the heat generating body 520, and the ink material 121 in the heat transfer layer 120 fuses, and transferring is carried out to the surface of the recording medium 200 together with auxiliary particles to form a medium tone image. And, a stripping roller 700 is provided in the vicinity of the thermal head 510 to adjust the running course of the transfer sheet 100. In addition, a feeding 612 tension of the transfer sheet 100 is maintained so sufficiently that the distance L1 between the position where the transfer sheet 100 and the recording medium 200 are stripped, and the center of the heat generating body 520 devided by the running speed V1 of the recording medium 200, which is a stripping period T1, to be indicated as T1=<=0.4 sec. |
