PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely feed a recording medium made of a continuous paper sheet to a device for imaging a picture on the recording medium over the entire width thereof in one batch, by providing flexible annular members adapted to make into surface-contact with feed rollers, to pinch rollers which separatably touch the paper feed rollers. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed unit 300 in a picture imaging device is provided with upper and lower paper feed mechanisms respectively having paper feed rollers 320, 350 and pinch rollers 330, 360 which separately touch the former. The pinch roller 330 is journalled between right and left arms in a lower roller opening and closing mechanism 340, and is urged under spring force against the feed roller 320. Meanwhile the pinch roller 360 is urged against the feed roller 350 under spring force by an upper roller opening and closing mechanism 370. Further, each pinch roller 330, 360 is arranged such that there is provided a flexible annular member which is made into contact with each feed roller 320, 350 through the intermediary of the recording medium, in a deformed condition when the pinch rollers are pressed against the feed rollers 320, 350, and therefore, the transfer of paper may be ensured always.
