PURPOSE:To save only a useful data in preceding input data by saving a data which is accumulated in a line register, in a saving register by inputting a prescribed key, and also determining by a selecting switch whether saving is appropriate or not. CONSTITUTION:A line register 11 on a RAM accumulates and holds a key input data of one line portion, and it is always sent to a display part 2 through a line 100. When an enter key 4 is depressed, the contents of the line register 11 are sent as data to a host computer throug a line 103 and a serial interface 10. When the enter key 4 is inputted, if a mode flag 14 is turned on by operating a mode key 6 for determining whether it is appropriate to save the data or not, a saving register 12 stores the contents of the line register 11. A data address of the latest input, which is accumulated in the line register 11 is held in a pointer 13, and initialized by inputting the enter key 4.
