<p>PURPOSE:To attain mode operation changeover without troublesome operation easily and mis-operation by adopting the constitution that an old modememory section discriminates the mode just before the transition to the forward/reverse recording mode and the mode is transited once to the stop mode once. CONSTITUTION:When a forward switch 13 is depressed with a present mode memory section 41 selected to the reverse recording mode, the old-mode memory section 42 representing the mode just before is in the reversing mode, then the mode is transited once to the stop mode by the control of a mechanism section 20 to avoid accidental erasure of the already recorded part. When the content of the memory section 42 is in the stop or pause mode, the mechanism section 20 applies the control to be transited to the forward mode to eliminate the need for a troublesome operation. When the forward recording is desired during the reversing mode, since the mode is transited once to the stop mode, the mode can be moved to any mode next. Thus, the mode changeover is applied easily without error.</p> |
