The road map holder is intended for securing to the handlebar of a bicycle or the like. It comprises a plastic tube (1) shorter than the handlebar with plug-in brackets (2) in the ends holding small-diameter parallel metal rods (3). A transparent plastic sleeve (4) fitted around and stretched between the two rods is closed at one short end and open at the other to permit inserting a map, the edges of the open end being pressed together by a loose clamp (5). Bushes (7) around the tube have integral cross-shaped radial arms (6) with segment-section clamp ends (8) to fit on the handlebar. All components except the rods preferably consist of polythene or poly-propylene.
