PURPOSE:To manufacture a blanking die easily in a short time and with high precision, by a method wherein cutting is effected in a way that irradiation with laser is performed at an angle 5-10 deg. with a perpendicular line, and finish processing is applied on a cut surface by discharge processing. CONSTITUTION:A material 1, producing a die, is cut by laser emitted from a laser collecting nozzle 2 along a blanking contour. In which case, the collecting nozzle 2 is inclined so that the cutting surface 3 is slightly inclined from a material surface and a perpendicular surface. The angle is preferably about 5-10 deg. in consideration of quality of laser cutting. A wire 5 of a discharge wire cut machining device 5 is set to a projection 4 of the cutting part of the material 1 so that a cutting surface crosses the material surface at right angles along a contour line to perform a cutting work. Since a cutting edge part 6 is machined with a precise machining accuracy and sharp cut edge, it can be used as the top or the bottom die of a blanking die as it is. This enables a machining time to be further shortened than machining made only by conventional wire cut discharge machining. |
