PURIFICATION, STORAGE, AND REGENERATION OF HYDROGEN FROM HYDROGEN-CONTAINING GASEOUS MIXTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce production cost of hydrogen from hydrogen contg. gas in the process for storing hydrogen in the form of cyclohexane and regenerating hydrogen from the cyclohexane, by separating and recovering cyclohexane in the unreacted purge gas during gas/liquid separation and benzene in the regenerated hydrogen with a porous glass membrane. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen-contg. gaseous mixture 1 such as converter gas is introduced together with benzene 14 into a hydrogenerator 4 through a converter 2 and a CO2 absorber 3 to cause reaction of hydrogen and benzene in the gas to form cyclohexane. The gas in the reaction product is separated 5 from liquid to obtain liquid cyclohexane 8 and unreacted gas 15 is separated and recovered with a porous glass membrane 6. After storing the liquid cyclohexane 8, the liquid cyclohexane is dehydrogenated 10 to transform to H2 and benzene, and H2 is separated 11 from liquid product. Benzene contained in the H2 is separated and recovered with a porous glass membrane 12.
