The line modules have lines for communication with terminals and possibly with an external apparatus and have control computers for maintaining communication between terminals connected to different modules. These are established via a digital group selector. To enable writing from a data information source to all the module control computers in a single process through a module selected as a main unit, the data to be written is preceded by conditioning information.
