PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned cooling water tank which has an improved cooling effect and which is capable of preventing the generation of air bubbles by a method wherein a partitioning apparatus comprising a level adjusting plate for adjusting the level of overflowing of the cooling water and a gap adjusting plate for adjusting the flow velocity of the cooling water is provided at a cooling water discharge port of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water 12 is introduced into the water tank 11 through an inlet 13 and flows out from the discharge port 14. In this case, the discharge port 14 is made movable in the vertical direction shown in the arrow (a). The partitioning apparatus comprises the level adjusting plate 20 for adjusting the depth of the cooling water in the tank and the gap adjusting plate 24 for adjusting the flow velocity of the cooling water by moving in the direction of the arrow (b) and by adjusting the width of a gap 25 between the plate and a high temperature thermoplastic resin sheet 17 and is fixed to the discharge port by means of a bolt 19. When the above structure, a fused resin material is extruded from a slit die 15 to produce the high temperature sheet 17 which is then cooled and solidified by a cooling roll 16 and the cooling water 12, to thereby obtain a finished sheet 17a. |
