The mixing apparatus for multi-component plastics, in particular polyurethane, is provided in a conventional way with a mixing chamber, in which a cleaning ram 3 of the same cross-section can be moved back and forth and as far as the region of the outlet opening 4 for the component mixture, exposing and closing the inlet openings 8, 9 for the components. There is provided an additional inlet opening 10, which lies between the two other inlet openings 8 and 9, lying in one plane and preferably opposite each other, the said additional inlet opening being offset in the direction towards the end face of the cleaning ram 3 bounding the mixing chamber 2. As a result, the relatively symmetrical and steady flow of the component streams entering through the inlet openings 8 and 9, lying in one plane, is not adversely affected. The flow through the further inlet opening 10 adapts itself to the other flow pattern, and the overall flow from the outlet opening, for example into an open mould, remains correspondingly steady, providing at the same time for a good mixing. For each inlet opening there may be provided covering grooves 11, 12, 13 which are arranged and dimensioned in differing ways. <IMAGE>
