A container for drinks, such as a package for holding a drink and a cup, which has at least a container body formed cylindrically or to a cross-sectionally square cylinder by pasting a flap at one end of extended paper or an extended plastic sheet on that at the other end thereof. Out of the two flaps, the flap at one end is provided at the portion thereof which is substantially halfway between its longer edges with an inward or outward projection extending from the upper end to the lower end of the flap, in such a manner that a vertical groove extending from the upper end to the lower end of the container body is formed. The bonding surface of the flap thus formed is pasted to that of the other flap at the other end to make a vertical tubular straw-inserting passage therebetween, the upper end of this straw-inserting passage being formed as a suction port, the lower end of the same passage being formed as a communication port communicated at the portion thereof which is closer to the bottom of the container with the interior thereof. This container is formed by using the above material alone without using any other members or materials additionally. The straw-inserting passage is thus formed integrally with the container body simultaneously with the practicing of the flap-bonding step. Therefore, an inexpensive straw-inserting passage-carrying drink container can be obtained without using any special materials and manufacturing steps. |
