Punched tape cassetting by means of cassette which can be loaded from inside

Coded punched tapes, as are produced by computers and teletypewriters, must be rolled up with the beginning of the punched tape on the outside of the roll for renewed reading in. The problem is solved by a punched tape cassette (12) mounted in a freely rotating manner. The punched tape cassette (12) has a cylindrical form. One round surface serves for mounting on a turntable (15). The other has a large round opening for the paper tape feeding, performed from inside. The remaining edge serves for storage of the punched tape. On the round lateral surface of the punched tape cassette (12) there is a threading slit with clamping means (13). The punched tape fed via the punched tape guide (14) is placed into the punched tape cassette (12) such that the punched tape hugs the inner round lateral surface from inside in a gentle arc. From there, the beginning of the punched tape is inserted through the threading slit underneath the clamping means. If the punched tape fed in such an off-centre manner is discharged from the punched tape puncher, its advancement and the rigidity of its paper serve as a driving element and set the punched tape cassette (12) in rotational motion. The punched tape nestles into the hollow roll of punched tape being produced and winds up from inside. After removal of the punched tape cassette (12), the punched tape can be read in once again.
