Old corrugated carton is pulped by a washing process comprising decomposition, holed-screening, dewatering, steam mixing, aging, sloted-screening, adsorbent separation, reverse cleaning, double- stage washing, dilution, refining and dewatering, high concentration storage, and acid washing and storage. The carton is decomposed in a pulper by mixing with 0.1 % toluene, 0.1 % xylene, 0.05 % lignin surfactant, 0.5 % pearlite, and 3 % sodium silicate at 48≦̸C and pH of 10.5.
