PURPOSE:To achieve a higher flaw detection accuracy with limited bending, by straightening a black steel bar with two rolls in the preceding process to improve the peeling of the scale. CONSTITUTION:A drum-roll roller 1 and a barrel-shaped roller 3 composing a double-roll straightener 2 are so arranged to cross each other above and below the conveying bus line of a black steel bar 4 and are used to straighten the black steel bar 4 by applying a load exceeding the yield thereof on the steel bar. The black steel bar 4 is made as straight as possible by repeating the correction along with a better peeling of the skin. The black steel bar 4 straightened with two rolls is conveyed to an eddy current flaw detector to perform a surface detected. |
