PURPOSE:To decrease a number of part items in a transmission case and improve its assembly workability, by interposing between a transmission main case and a gear chamber cover a rubber cushion serving also as a grommet for supporting a breather pipe. CONSTITUTION:A main case 2a, partly hollowing its butt surface with a case cover 2b, provides a clearance 13b between a step differenced part of this hollowed stepped part 6 and the end surface of a cover 5 of a gear chamber 4. This clearance 13b, through which a breather pipe 20 penetrates, is filled with a rubber cushion 21 serving both as a grommet for supporting said breather pipe 20 and a seal for the clearance. Consequently, a transmission case, enabling its number of part items to be reduced while the breather pipe to be easily drawn out to the bottom of the transmission case, can also improve a breather function of the gear chamber.
