PURPOSE:To make power generation performable in an efficient manner irrespective of a variation in head or flow rate, by adjusting each angle of an inlet valve, a guide vane and a turbine adjustable vane of a horizontal shaft double hydraulic turbine. according to the output of a generator. CONSTITUTION:Each of Kaplan turbines 3 and 3' is connected to a shaft of a generator 1, and in the shaft at the side of one side Kaplan turbine 3'. there is provided with a flywheel 4 for preventing any damage to the turbine due to a sudden load variation. Each inlet valve 6 is installed in draft pipes 5 of both turbines, and this inlet valve 6, a guide vane and a adjustable vane of the turbine are all driven by a motor. Therefore, each opening angle of these inlet, guide and adjustable vanes is adjusted whereby efficient power generation is performable irrespective of a variation in head or flow rate. |
