PURPOSE:To utilize effectively a storage medium by storing pseudo processing image data consisting of a processor factor and information of an original image data storage place. CONSTITUTION:Original image data from an original reader 10 or an optical disk 14 is stored in a page memory 8-1. When an image processing instruction from a keyboard 3 is executed, a processing factor is stored in a processing factor buffer 17, and image processing is executed by a CPU4 or an image processing circuit 7. After the image processing has been executed, pseudo processing image data consisting of a processing factor required for obtaining its processing image and information of the original image data storage place is stored in the optical disk 14.
